The 5 Essences of Being More Spiritual

Spirituality is a broad concept that many are unable to grasp. People have different spiritual experiences and journeys. Where everyone’s spiritual journey is different, the essences of becoming more spiritual happens to be the same. Many confuse the concept of religion with spirituality. Both are two different concepts and have two different meanings.

Religion is a systematic or institutionalize system that support the same attitude, beliefs, and practices. Spirituality is the cosmic essences that supports and promotes the intellect of manifestation, incarnation, embodiment, and personification while recognizing who the Alpha and Omega is of this world (God).

Religion usually require you to gravitate to the opinions and perspective of others builded on fears and inequities. You can become religious with anything in life, which means that you are choosing to shape and set the foundation of your life on a body of beliefs.

For example, Football can be looked upon as religion because of the body of beliefs many hold for the sport; where many chose not to support Colin Kaepernick when he decided to protest against racial injustice in America by kneeling with his head down for the anthem.

Spirituality on the other hand is more liberating, where you are free to become whoever God gave you the green-light to be. Spirituality is an individualized experience that helps individuals grow while contributing to humanity and the life cycle of this world. It is something that is not always touched and seen; but it is felt beyond your humanistic comprehension.

The true essences of spirituality wraps around the simplistic concept to just believe and you will receive.  In result, the gifts from the cosmic force are given due to individuals obedience and dedication of embracing the embodiment, incarnation, manifestation, and personification of the spiritual laws and realm.  Here are five essences of becoming more spiritual:

1.Dedicate Your Life To God and Humanity

Many of us dedicate our lives to people and things that drain the life out of us literally. We auction off our souls to material possessions and people who continue to strip us from our inner self. We are all fighting to live, love, and laugh with hopes of receiving those attributes in return. Many of us are fighting so hard hold on to the little peace that we have, but we are too fearful to trade it for the life God wants to give us.

We need to learn how to dedicate our lives to God and humanity. You were not put in this world for yourself, but you put here on this earth to serve others. God serves people in general everyday; which sets the tone for your own life. You were built to serve people with the light that lies within.

You were meant to become a trendsetter, warrior, pioneer, leader to promote others to the change and ride on the journey that you were so brave to embrace and endure. The journey made not be easy, but it is worth traveling on.

Anything worth having will never be easy in life, and anything easy isn’t worth having. Since you are unsure what to do with your life; why not chose to dedicate your life to God and his plan upon your life?

Matthew 5:14-16 CEV,“ You are the light for the whole world. A city built on top of a hill cannot be hidden, and no one lights a lamp and puts it under a clay pot. Instead, it is placed on a lampstand, where it can give light to everyone in the house. Make your light shine, so others will see the good you do and will praise your Father in heaven.”

You are the light, so it your time to shine bright like the diamond you are to humanity.

2.Glorify God’s Name

The essence of spirituality is glorifying your Creator (God’s) Name. Glorifying God’s name means you have chosen to set God at a high status in your life. This means you have made the conscious decision to involve God in our lives, which the process of putting God first in your life consciously takes sometime.

Thank God, that he is all about process and not about rushing to get things done in life. Growing Spiritually allows you to recognize that your body is not your own, but it belongs to the Lord. Feeding the spirit within than your body (fleshly needs) is far more useful.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

There are many benefits to glorifying God in your life, which leads to spiritual freedom. Spiritual freedom and belief in God, Jesus, Holy Spirit leads us to living eternally in Heaven. Glorify his name today because he blesses you and shows you his grace daily even when you don’t glorify him.  When you do, watch how God will allow the Universe to bless you.

3.Walking in Truth

Walking boldly in your truth is a hard pill to swallow for many. It was truly hard for myself also. I became accustomed to living with lies that I became comfortable and restful with in my clutter bed I made for myself in my life.

The truth pill was so big that I could not grasp in my mind how much this pill will benefit my life. You heard it before that the truth will set you free from whatever is weighing you down within, but digesting the truth pill will be a long process before you began to see the results of living in the truth.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2 CEV, “Friends, when I came and told you the mystery that God had shared with us, I didn’t use big words or try to sound wise. In fact, while I was with you, I made up my mind to speak only about Jesus Christ, who had been nailed to a cross.”

Jesus is the truth. He was the one who died for our sins and inequities in life, which was stemmed from Jesus’s love for humanity. Many are unable to accept Jesus because they cannot believe that a love like Jesus exists. I am guilty of also running away from the gifts and calling upon my life because I could not understand the unconditional love God and Jesus had for me.

I wasted a lot of time believing the lies that went against my purpose in life. I was supporting the concept of “Keeping things real”, but I was so scared to face the truth about myself and the world around me. Facing and embracing the truth allowed to experience spirituality on a level I was never aware of . The key to this is remaining open to the possibilities in life. Your past truth does not compare to the truth God wants to show you.

4.Be open for Correction and Conviction

I could be wrong, but it seems like the average person now despises to be corrected and/or convicted. Many confuse condemnation with Conviction, where one concept is more liberating than the other.

Both focus on acknowledging the need for correction in one’s life, but it is all based on delivery. Condemnation produces shame, insecurities, and pride. Conviction promotes love, freedom, growth, and guilt. When becoming more spiritual, it is best to accept corrections and convictions from the Lord. His corrections and convictions are meant to help us grow with him, which are experienced through growing pains.

Romans 14:22 ESV,” The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves.

God does not want you nor does he like when you pass judgement on yourself for the demands on your life from him. It may be different from your norm and others around you, but living outside your norm is not an indication that you are on the wrong path. Treat yourself with compassion and allow yourself to grow.

5.Establish A Pure Relationship With God Not His Creations

You will only establish a relationship with God on the level that you are exposed. A spiritual relationship is nowhere near like the religious God that everyone tries to portray. The more your grow spiritually; the more you will deepen your perception of who God truly is to you and others.

You will begin to experience the true essences of the spiritual realm.  We all know the benefits of having relationship with other humans , which help us to gain a perspective and a concept of humanity as a whole. Relationship is a mutual and reciprocal connection between people, place or things. It is through the journey of relationships that we grow from.

John 10:7-11 CEV,“Jesus said: I tell you for certain that I am the gate for the sheep. Everyone who came before me was a thief or a robber, and the sheep did not listen to any of them. I am the gate. All who come in through me will be saved. Through me they will come and go and find pasture. A thief comes only to rob, kill, and destroy. I came so everyone would have life, and have it fully. I am the good shepherd, and the good shepherd gives up his life for his sheep.”

A relationship is vital to have with God because you began to understand who he is in the spirit realm, who is also deeply connected to the Universe. Hey, he created it! God’s creations are not meant to be served . In fact, God’s creations don’t have the ultimate power that can help you to become whole within.  It can subsidize you for a bit, but it will not leave you with a permanent contentment as God does. We need God, not his creations. We are co-creators when we team up with God in manifestation.

Jesus is our ultimate connection to God. God is all about life, love, hope, faith,  beauty, liberty, freedom, justice, and peace. If you have a big heart for those aspect in life, I know you will fall in love with God.

It is through him Jesus that you will receive eternal life in heaven. Spirituality is liberating, which gives you permission not to live less than who God created you to be. Spirituality reveals the secret that the world is bigger enough for you to live, love, and walk in the truth of who you are and who God is as himself.
